Looking to brush up your employees’ language skills? Then the proper language training course is a must. During such a course, every employee is given thorough training tailored to his or her level. But how high or low is his or her starting level? A language test will reveal all. Discover how it works.

language training course with trainees who haven’t achieved around the same level? It’s a waste of time. The front-runners don’t learn anything in the class, while others aren’t able or have trouble keeping up with the rest. This can easily be prevented by using a language test. Everyone is split up according to their level based on these results, so that major gaps are avoided.

What is tested?

The purpose of a language test is to sketch a clear idea of the language skill level that is as complete as possible. This won’t work with a superficial approach. A thorough analysis of the various language aspects is therefore a must. ElaN Learnings’ LinguaTest assesses vocabulary and grammar skills.

Language test based on a needs analysis

Each trainee’s language needs are different. For example, a sales manager wants to be able to woo his client in French during a sales meeting, while a CEO may want to be able to give her important presentation in German. Our needs analysis reveals the trainee’s specific learning goals and priorities.

Screening interview and personalised programme

A screening interview follows the LinguaTest and the needs analysis. During this interview, the coach determines the specific goals of the training, and he or she learns about the working situations in which the language to be learned will be used. We will then outline a personalised training programme that is completely aligned with the trainee’s language needs and expectations. This is how we prepare every employee for his or her job. Online, face-to-face or a combination of both.

Evaluation and follow-up

Class over, books closed? No such thing! ElaN Learning encourages every trainee to continue learning, including outside the classroom. This includes three follow-up mails containing fun, useful exercises and tips & tricks. It’s the perfect place to practise and maintain a new language!
